PORT ORANGE, FL / OXFORD – William P. Sacramone, 77, died peacefully on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Overlook Masonic Health Center in Charlton, after a year-long bout with glioblastoma. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Doreen C. Saad-Sacramone of Port Orange, FL/Oxford; his son, Steven A. Sacramone of Oxford; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, John Sacramone.
He was born in Southbridge, son of the late John and Viola (Marcantonio) Sacramone. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Southbridge in 1965, studied mechanical engineering at Worcester Junior College in Worcester, and attended the W.P.I. School of Industrial Management in Worcester.
Mr. Sacramone was an information systems supervisor at Russell Harrington Cutlery in Southbridge for 21 years, retiring in 2002. In addition, he owned and operated “King Courier Transportation” and “Sac & Company” with his wife for many years. Sac loved riding his motorcycle and was a motorcycle instructor in Worcester County. He also rode with the Elks Riders and rode in Rolling Thunder.
Mr. Sacramone held office in the Central Mass Wanderers Classic Car Club, where he was also a member for 32 years. He was Navigator for “The Great Race” Team 34 for 8 years. He enjoyed cruising with his classic cars, going on cruises, and traveling throughout the country.
A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at a date to be announced this summer. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/The Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
