OXFORD - William C. Murray Jr., 55, of Hemlock St., died Wednesday, June 3, 2009, in his home after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his fiancée, Susan Neslusan of Oxford; two sons, Anthony Murray of Oxford and John Murray of Webster; his father, William C. Murray Sr. of Oxford; his sister, Patricia M. Pupka and her husband Robert of Webster; his brother, John E. Murray and his wife Eugena of Webster; his granddaughter, Merissa Murray of Oxford; his former wife, Joyce Gagnon of Oxford; and many nephews and nieces. He was born in Oxford the son of the late Frances F. (Jaconetti) Murray, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1973. Mr. Murray owned and operated WCM Transport, Inc., in Oxford for over 20 years. He was a former member of the Oxford Fire Department and was an adjunct of the Sons of Veterans at the VFW in Oxford. He was a charitable supporter of many veterans' organizations. Mr. Murray loved to cook and entertain. He enjoyed country music and spending time with his friends and family. Calling hours are Saturday, June 6, 2009, from 4-7 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A graveside service will be private at a later date at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Massachusetts Veteran's Shelter, 69 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605.
