William Gifford

OXFORD/HOLLAND - William F. Gifford, 97, passed away Friday, June 30th after a short illness. William was born in Worcester to the late William E. and Jennie L. (Fairbanks) Gifford. He resided in Oxford for over 25 years and retired in Holland, MA. He managed local dairy processing plants, most recently Laipson’s Dairy, retiring in 1980.

Dad will forever be loved and missed by his daughter, Linda L Pronto of Holland; and son, William E Gifford of Oxford; son in-law Kenneth Pronto and daughter in-law Lori Gifford; grandchildren, Lynn Bedus of Holland, Crystal and Kara Gifford, both of Oxford; and great-grandchildren Alex, Abby, Jeremiah and Elijah; nieces Janice, Sharon and Paula; nephews Walter and Dwight; and friends. He is predeceased by his wife, Mary A. (Crowley) Gifford; sister, Belinda Gifford Perkins; and nephews Matthew and Kevin.

William was a sweet man who enjoyed talking with everyone he met. He was always there to help someone in need, hold a hand, give a hug, always lending a shoulder to lean on. Thank you to the staff at Lanessa Extended Care and Hospice of Western and Central MA for their kind, compassionate care to Dad.

There are no calling hours. Burial shall be private. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is entrusted with arrangements.
