Walter Cote, Jr.

CHARLTON - Walter "Skip" Cote, Jr., 60, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2010, in his home surrounded by loved ones following a courageous battle with throat and lung cancer. His 60th birthday was on Sunday, September 26th. He leaves his loving wife, soul mate, and best friend Ruth M. Cahill-Cote; his daughter, Sherryn M. Barton and her husband Robbie of Charlton; his son, Christopher M. Cote of Florida; his stepdaughter, Kerry R. Cahill; his stepson, David R. Cahill and his wife Kim; his grandsons, Justin, Connor, and Nolan Barton; and his granddaughter, Cassidy R. Cahill, all of Charlton; He was the son of the late Alice McNamara and Walter Cote. Skip was a member of the Cahill Tire and Auto Repair family in Oxford for many years. He loved boating and the water. He always took great pride in everything he did. He was always there for everyone. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and was a very proud grandpa. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 3, 2010, at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Saturday, October 2, 2010, from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home.
