OXFORD - Violet M. (Bosford) Gregonis, 87, died Thursday, September 4, 2008, at Sunbridge-Sandalwood Nursing Home in Oxford. She was predeceased by her husband of over 30 years, Vincent Gregonis of Oxford, who died many years ago. She is survived by three sons, Vincent Gregonis Jr. of Oxford, Allen Gregonis of Houston, TX, and Robert Gregonis of Florida; a brother, Richard K. Bosford of New Hampshire; a sister, Eleanor J. Valentino of Millbury; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Gilbert E. and Rose D. (George) Bosford, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford 35 years ago. She attended Worcester Vocational High School in Worcester. Mrs. Gregonis worked in the cafeteria for Oxford Public Schools for several years, retiring in 1987. Previously, she was an assistant dietician at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester for many years. She was a member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 8, 2008, at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
