OXFORD – Vincent D. Reardon III, 74, of Dudley Road, died peacefully on Friday, September 17, 2021, at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Susan A. (Benkowski) Reardon of Oxford; his son, Christopher W. Reardon of Oxford; his sister, Mary E. Balserak and her husband Paul of Fairfax, VA; his brother, Marc A. Reardon and his wife Emily of Belmont; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a sister, Anne E. Reardon. He was born in Medford, son of the late Vincent D. and Agnes E. (Baldwin) Reardon Jr., and was raised in Charlton before moving to Oxford many years ago. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and later served in the Army National Guard.
Mr. Reardon was a truck driver for Johnson Corrugated Products in Thompson for 40 years, retiring in 2013. He was a fan of the Boston Celtics and UConn Girls Basketball Team. He enjoyed cooking, reading, and playing golf in his younger years. He had a great love for music, especially old time country music and rock and roll.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
