Veronica Lizotte

OXFORD - Veronica C. (Vancour) Lizotte, 95, of formerly of Wheelock St., died Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Riverbend Nursing Center in Natick. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Arthur A. Lizotte of Oxford who died in 2002; and a sister, Irene Gendron. She is survived by her daughter, Janice J. Cesnek of Holliston, with whom she lived; a step daughter, Nancy J. Mahoney of Spencer; a brother, Dr. Roger Vancour of Framingham; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was born in North Oxford, the daughter of the late Henry and Rosanna (Fountain) Vancour, and lived in Dudley, North Oxford, and Oxford, before moving to Holliston 7 years ago to live with her daughter. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1932. Mrs. Lizotte was a medical secretary for Dr. Charles Erickson and Dr. Everett Schubert for 21 years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford, a former member of the Oxford Woman's Club, and enjoyed knitting. A funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will be at a later date at St. Roch's Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Tuesday, December 21, 2010, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
