OXFORD - Tyler J. Menard, 26, of Wheelock St., died tragically on Saturday, November 10, 2012, from injuries sustained in a car accident. His wife Amanda Marie Riopel died with him. He is survived by his son, Austin J. Menard of Oxford; his mother and father who he lived with, Cheryl J. (Parker) Dion and James Dion of Oxford; his father, Joel Menard and his wife Donna of Corpus Christie, TX; his paternal grandparents, Leo and Winifred Menard of Las Vegas, NV; three sisters, Sheila L. DeSimone-Hernandez and her husband Axel G. Hernandez of Pascoag, RI, Sherri L. Widen of Fort Myers, FL, and Megan Menard of Texas; a nephew, Dominic J. DeSimone; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was born in Putnam, CT, on August 27, 1986, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. He graduated from Oxford High School in 2004, attended the medical assistant program at Job Corps, and received his certification in safe serve for bartending. Tyler worked at Metech Recycling in Worcester. Previously he worked for A.B. Dick Company, where he assembled cell phone towers. He enjoyed disc golf, paintball, and motorcycles. He loved animals and texting Amanda on his phone. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with Austin and Amanda. He will be remembered as an outgoing person who always knew how to make people laugh. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at North Cemetery, 505 Main St., Oxford. Calling hours are Tuesday, November 13, 2012, from 4-8 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Austin J. Menard Memorial Fund, c/o Webster Five Cent Savings Bank, 343 Main Street, Oxford, MA 01540.
