OXFORD – Tracy J. Calderwood, 51, died after a short illness from complications from paralysis on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. He is survived by five siblings, Jay DaSilva and his wife Janice of Yarmouth, Jan Sutherland and her husband Grant of Mashpee, Bob Calderwood and his wife Carolyn of Centerville, Kim Kanash and her husband John of Center Barnstead, NH, and Kelly Joyce and her partner Al Ayotte of Webster; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Scott Calderwood who died in 1983. He was born in Holbrook, son of the late Robert A. and Barbara (Hobson) Calderwood, and lived in Holbrook and Wareham before moving to Oxford 25 years ago. He graduated from Upper Cape Regional Technical School in Bourne in 1989.
Tracy was employed by the town of Wareham in the maintenance department at the time of his accident. He was an avid New England sports fan and followed the Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR. Though he was paralyzed 25 years ago, he always remained an active participant in family activities. His family included him in everything they did, and he was never left out. He will be remembered as a great man by his family and friends, and will be missed by all who knew him.
The family would like to thank his P.C.A. care team and his many friends, for helping him fully participate in life, and for caring for him over the past 25 years.
