OXFORD - Thomas L. Wilson, 67, of Carey Lane, died Saturday, March 7, 2009, in his home. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jean M. (Forand) Wilson of Oxford; a daughter, Elaine Bettie Davis of Reidsville, NC; a brother, Wayne W. Wilson and his wife Joyce of Worcester; two sisters, Ada Clark of Greensboro, NC, and Willa Mae Morrison and her husband Dennis of Reidsville, NC; two aunts, Isabell Harden and Marie Faust, both of Brown Summit, NC; four nieces, Angela, Catherine, Tonya, and Carla; two God daughters, Venecia and Natasha; six great nephews, two great nieces, and many cousins, friends, and foster children. He was born in Brown Summit, NC, the son of the late Lorenzo and Ada (Russell) Wilson, and lived in North Carolina and Worcester before moving to Oxford 12 years ago. Mr. Wilson was a foster parent to over 30 children over the years, and was named Foster Parent of the Year in 2006. He enjoyed watching sports, especially wrestling and baseball. No funeral service is planned. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Paradis Funeral Home, Oxford, is assisting the family with arrangements.
