LEICESTER – Theodore W. Carr Jr., 61, of Rawson Street, died Sunday, May 24, 2020, in his home after a 7-year battle with Leukemia.  Death is no longer victorious, cancer doesn’t win, love wins, Jesus wins.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Amy M. (Morang) Carr of Leicester; six children, Joshua E.D. Carr of Union City, GA, Jane A. McNeil and her husband John of Spencer, Nicolas A. Carr, Benjamin R. Carr, Abigail R. Carr, and Truman G. Carr, all of Leicester; two brothers, Kevin M. Carr and his wife Jennifer of Bellingham, and Craig A. Carr and his wife Fran of Port Charlotte, FL; two sisters, Sandy M. Crowe and her husband Doug of Holliston, and Suzette D. Carr of Holliston; his daughter-in-law, Narisha Carr-Smalls of Georgia; six grandchildren, Jahleel, Zipporah, Aliyah, Ifetayo, Dakari, and Jabari; and many nephews and nieces.  He was predeceased by a son, T.W. Jeremiah Carr III, who died in 2010.  He was born in Boston, son of the late Theodore W. and Ruth M. (Millette) Carr Sr., and lived in New Bedford, Worcester, Holliston, and Framingham, before moving to Leicester in 1995.  He proudly served in the U.S. Army in Germany and at Fort Hood.

Mr. Carr was the chief financial officer for Accu Trak Tool Corporation in Cherry Valley for 13 years, and he loved his job very much.  He loved attending church and enjoyed electronics, computers and ice cream.  While living in New Bedford, he was an assistant pastor at Haven Baptist Church.  He had a special fondness for his pets.

The family would like to thank the UMass Oncology Clinic and Notre Dame Hospice, for their exceptional care during his illness.

Due to gathering restrictions in Massachusetts, a private graveside service will be held at Greenville Baptist Cemetery in Leicester.  A public service at Greenville Baptist Church will be announced at a future date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the UMass Cancer Walk, 333 South St., Shrewsbury, Massachusetts 01545.  Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
