Terry Winslow

OXFORD - Terry C. Winslow, 69, of Ruth Evelyn Drive, died peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2014, in his home with his family by his side. He was predeceased by his wife of 38 years, Michele M. (Minor) Winslow, who died in 2005; and a brother, Donald Downey. He is survived by two daughters, Barbara H. LaBuff and her husband Joseph of Oxford with whom he lived, and Jennifer J. Winslow and her husband Denis J. Lussier of Fairfield, ME; two brothers, Robert and Francis Winslow; two sisters, Fern Cook and Roxanna Barringer; three grandchildren, Alex W. Greene, Joseph "J.T." LaBuff, and Michele E. LaBuff, all with home he lived in Oxford; and many nephews and nieces. He was born in Waverly, NY, the son of the late Earl F. Winslow, was raised in Sayre, PA, and lived most of his life in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 2008. He graduated from high school in Sayre, PA, and received his associate's degree in business from Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served with the Military Police. Mr. Winslow worked for E.C.M. Plastics in Worcester for many years, retiring in 2013. Previously, he worked for Coz Chemical in Northbridge. He was a member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford. He was a proud supporter of the N.R.A. and was a member of the Auburn Sportsmen's Club. He loved traveling to Maine to visit his daughter, and enjoyed hunting with his son-in-law, Denis. He enjoyed traveling throughout the world with his wife, especially throughout Italy and Europe. Recently, he began raising chickens. Mr. Winslow was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was most proud of his grandchildren who knew him as Papa. He enjoyed history and telling wonderful stories of his past to his grandchildren. His family was blessed to have the opportunity to live with him for the past six years. He was a great friend to many people, had a wonderful sense of humor, and will be greatly missed by his family, especially his grandchildren, his son-in-law Joe whom he loved to spend time with, and his beloved dogs, Zeus and Goldie. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Lancaster. Calling hours are Monday, July 28, 2014, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
