Terry Murray

WORCESTER – Terry B. Murray, 68, of Havana Road, died Tuesday, January 17, 2017, in his home. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Barbara R. (Borowski) Murray; three daughters, Jennifer A. Murray of Worcester, Michelle K. Chaves of Hudson, and Erin K Murray of Worcester; five stepchildren, William Maynard, Lucy Rivett, Karen Terrill, Laurie Hudson, and Donna Boucher; his brother, Daniel T. Murray and his wife Debra Sullivan of Southport, NC; four grandchildren, Roman Murray, Trisha Murray, Michael Comeau, and Kaleigh Chaves; several step-grandchildren, one step-great-granddaughter, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his sister, Glenelle Walsh. He was born in Skowhegan, Maine, son of the late Glenwood D. and Norma J. (Benjamin) Murray, and lived in Charlton and Florida before moving to Worcester in 2013. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1967, and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Mr. Murray was a truck driver for Lessor Trucking Company in Minnesota for 15 years, retiring in 2013. Previously, he worked for Crosby Trucking and Ryder Corporation. He was a member of the American Legion in Florida and was an avid Boston sports fan, especially the Patriots and Red Sox. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling with his wife, Barbara.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A memorial calling hour will be held on Saturday from 10-11 a.m., prior to the service. Burial will be private at a later date at North Cemetery in Oxford.
