OXFORD - Teresa M. (Schwarzenberg) Puniskis, 52, of Rhonda Rheault Drive, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, after a battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, John G. Puniskis of Oxford; two sons, Michael J. Puniskis and Derek J. Puniskis, both of Oxford; her mother, Maria (Wojcik) Schwarzenberg of Worcester; her sister, Halinka Schwarzenberg of Worcester; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was born in Poland, the daughter of the late Anthony Schwarzenberg, and lived in Poland and Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1980. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Worcester. Mrs. Puniskis was presently employed as a banquet waitress at Leicester Country Club for several years. Previously, she was a waitress at the Best Western in Auburn. She attended St. Roch's Church in Oxford and was a former member of St. Casimir's Church in Worcester. Mrs. Puniskis enjoyed photography and appreciated wildlife. She was a horticulturist who enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. A funeral will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2009, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Friday, May 15, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
