March 31, 1930 — September 3, 2012

WOODLAND, ME -- Sylvia Rose Kampe, 82, died Monday afternoon Sept. 3, 2012, at Cary Medical Center in Caribou. She was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada on Mar. 31, 1930, the daughter of Ronald and Helen (Parsons) Campbell. She was a devoted member of the Caribou United Baptist Church. Mrs. Kampe was predeceased by her husband, Allan Kampe who died in 2005; a sister, Betty Lou Campbell; and two brothers, Colin Campbell and Charles Campbell. Sylvia is survived by a half-brother, Ronald Campbell of Canada; two sisters-in-law, Stephanie Campbell of Glace Bay, N.S. Canada, and Nancy McGovern of Oxford, cousins; Carolyn Deering and her husband Jim of Upton, Jean Thompson and her husband Bryan of Detroit, MI, George Martin of Worcester, and Paul Martin of Washington; several nieces and nephews; her neighbors Albert and Ellen; as well as a loving church family; and her second love of her life, her dog Abbey. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 10, 2012, Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, with the Rev. Muriel Sanborn officiating. A calling hour will be held from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sylvia's memory to the Victory in Christ Church, P.O. Box 30454, Worcester, MA 01603.
