Susan Sullivan

OXFORD – Susan L. (Leader) Sullivan, 72, of Old Worcester Road, died peacefully on Friday, April 21, 2017, in her home after a long illness. She was predeceased by her first husband, Cosmo J. Casamassa Sr. who died in 1989; and her second husband, John J. Sullivan Jr. who died in 2008. She is survived by her son, Cosmo J. Casamassa Jr. and his fiancée Paulette Reed of Oxford; two sisters, Melanie Francis and her husband Donald of Nova Scotia, Canada, and Kristen Primeau and her husband James of Fitchburg; several grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and cousins; and her beagle and constant companion, Chloe. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Edwin and Dorothy (Bates) Leader, and lived in Oxford for 49 years.

Mrs. Sullivan was an auditor at Staples in Framingham for 11 years, retiring in 1996. Previously, she owned and operated Cos’ Fruit Stand in Oxford with her husband for 11 years. She enjoyed sailing, crafts, and making wedding cakes.

A private graveside service was held at North Cemetery in Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 72 East Concord St., C3, Boston, MA 02118. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
