OXFORD - Susan C. (Polis) Jandrow, 62, of Westgate Drive, died Saturday, August 9, 2014, at the Ichabod Washburn Hospice Residence in Worcester, after a short battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Lawrence E. Jandrow of Oxford; two children, Jessica A. Moody and her husband Randy of Oxford, and Michael R. Jandrow and his wife Miranda of Oxford; a sister, Christine Anastasi and her husband Joseph of Cape Cod; a brother, Richard Polis of Florida; five grandchildren, Brendan O'Connell, Courtney Thacker, Brayden O'Connell, Riley Moody, and Noel Jandrow; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother, David Polis who died in 2014. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late George Polis, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. She graduated from Marianhill High School in Southbridge in 1970. Mrs. Jandrow was a manager at Oxford Insurance Agency in Oxford for 29 years, retiring several months ago due to illness. She enjoyed working in her yard, reading, spending time at the pool, and holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Tuesday, August 12, 2014, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ichabod Washburn Hospice Residence, 1183 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01603, or to the UMass Memorial Foundation, Cancer Research Fund, P.O. Box 2795, Worcester, MA 01613.
