AUBURN – Steven W. Trilligan, 70, of Old Meetinghouse Road, died on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester, after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Helen E. (Brierly) Trilligan of Auburn; two children, Heather L. Trilligan and Bryan S. Trilligan, both of Auburn; a sister, Cynthia Whalen and her husband David of Auburn; a sister-in-law, Sue Gorham of Florida; three grandchildren, Bailey, Grady, and Aidyn Rose Trilligan, all of Auburn; and three nieces.
He was born in Worcester, son of the late William and Barbara (Crosby) Trilligan, and lived in Sutton and Worcester before moving to Auburn 40 years ago. He graduated from Blackstone Valley R.V.T. High School in Upton in 1971, and graduated from Worcester Industrial Technical Institute in 1973.
Mr. Trilligan was a systems operator for Paul Revere Life Insurance Company, Hanover Insurance in Worcester, and BJ’s Corporate Office in Westboro, before retiring in 2016. During retirement, he worked part-time at Diamond Chevrolet in Auburn.
Mr. Trilligan was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Auburn and belonged to the Men’s Group. He enjoyed traveling, especially to York, ME, Newport, RI, and Plymouth, MA, visiting with his many friends. He enjoyed attending and watching car auctions. In addition, he enjoyed spending the summer days with his grandchildren doing activities and swimming in the pool.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 90 Bryn Mawr Ave., Auburn. A burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Auburn. Calling hours are Wednesday, June 19, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.
My family and I would like to thank Dr. Ramanathan, Lyndsay, and the many nurses/doctors that helped Steve throughout the past 10 years. You truly are amazing nurses and doctors.
