WEBSTER – Steven A. Gisleson, 65, died suddenly on Wednesday, December 16, 2021, in his home. He is survived by two sons, Tyler S. Gisleson and his wife Blair of Helena, MT, and Tory B. Gisleson and his wife Caitlin of Oxford; his brother, Marc B. Gisleson and his wife Louise of Putnam, CT; four grandchildren, Gwenavere Gisleson of Helena, MT, and Eleanora, Amelia, and Maximus Gisleson, all of Oxford; his former wife, Gail A. Malboeuf and her husband Randy and their son Taber of Oxford; his significant other, Jeanette Mead of Thompson, CT; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Harold C. Gisleson Jr.; and a sister, Patricia M. Gisleson. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Harold C. and Mary E. (Uniacke) Gisleson, lived in Oxford for many years, and moved to Webster 20 years ago. He attended Oxford High School.
Mr. Gisleson was a steelworker at Wyman Gordon in North Grafton for 19 years, retiring this past February. Previously, he was a member of the Teamsters Union and was a truck driver for over 15 years. He was a member of the United Steelworker’s Local 2285. He loved living on Webster Lake and spending time on the water with his boat throughout the summer. He enjoyed playing golf, was a Boston sports fan, and loved to spend time with his friends and family.
Memorial calling hours are Wednesday, December 29, 2021, from 5-8 p.m., at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A private graveside service will be held at St. Roch’s Cemetery in Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, 18251 Quantico Gateway Dr., Triangle, VA 22172.
