DEBARY, FL – Shirley J. Noe, 88, of Kingslake Drive, died peacefully on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Certus Premier Memory Care Living in Orange City, FL. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, William H. Noe who died in 2006.
She is survived by four children, Mark Noe and his wife Ann of Southbridge, Deborah Perra and her husband Raymond of Windsor Locks, CT, Maureen Tice and her husband Terry of New Hope, PA, and Kathleen Grady and her husband Daniel of Northbridge; a brother, Richard “Butch” Caravalho of New Orleans, LA; two sisters, Roberta Freeman and her husband Glenn of DeBary, FL, and Madeline Trumbull of DeBary, FL; her aunt, Dorothy Prybyla of DeBary, FL; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Steven Noe; and two brothers, Alfred Caravalho and Donald Caravalho.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Armand Caravalho and Annette (Douillette) Caravalho DeMarco. She was raised in Worcester and Grafton and lived most of her life in Oxford before moving to DeBary, FL, 28 years ago. She graduated from Grafton High School in 1954.
Mrs. Noe was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for her home and family. She was a worldwide traveler and lived in many locations, including Virginia and Spain, while her husband served in the military. She was currently a member of St. Ann’s Church in DeBary, FL, and was a former member of St. Roch’s Church in Oxford, where she also served as a Eucharistic minister.
Mrs. Noe was active in her retirement community at King’s Lake in Florida. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and was an avid knitter and puzzle-maker.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at St. Roch’s Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Upton. Calling hours are Saturday from 8:30-9:30 a.m., at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, prior to the Mass.
