Shirley Fountain

OXFORD - Shirley R. (Beauregard) Fountain, 76, of Federal Hill Road, died Saturday, January 26, 2013, in her home. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph P. Fountain Sr.; and her son, Joseph P. Fountain Jr. who died in 2010. She is survived by six children, Dennis A. Fountain and his wife Susan of Oxford, Rodney P. Fountain of Oxford ,with whom she lived, Mark A. Fountain and his wife Corinne of Deltona, FL, Cynthia L. Marable and her husband Danny of Webster, Judith A. Bryniarski and her husband Stanley of Dudley, and Melissa V. Christian and her fiancé Gary Bergeron of Dudley; two sisters, Avis Gomes of Connecticut and Barbara Miller of Staten Island, NY; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She was born in Amherst, the daughter of the late Arthur and Viola (Thompson) Beauregard, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. She graduated from Oxford High School. Mrs. Fountain worked at Micro Networks in Worcester for many years. Previously, she was a school bus driver in Dudley and Charlton. She enjoyed going to the casino and loved riding her Harley in her younger years. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Tuesday, January 29, 2013, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clara Barton Camp for Children with Diabetes, P.O.
