Sharon Moir

June 14, 1937 — April 3, 2010

OXFORD - Sharon L. Moir, 72, of Waite St., died Saturday, April 3, 2010, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a recently diagnosed illness. She is survived by a brother, Bradford H. Moir and his wife Donna of Charlton; a sister, Kathy A. Archambeault and her husband Francis of Rochdale; a niece, Holly Fitzherbert and her husband Edward of Charlton; many cousins, and her two cats, Midas and Mavis. She was born in Oxford, the daughter of the late Peter A. and Dorothy (Kemp) Moir, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. She graduated from Oxford High School and Worcester State College. Ms. Moir was an elementary school teacher at the Joslin and Chaffee Schools in Oxford for 35 years, retiring in 1994. She was a lifelong member of the First Congregational Church in Oxford. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, swimming, and painting. She had many wonderful friends who supported her throughout her illness, and she will be greatly missed. There is no funeral service or calling hours planned. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church, P.O. Box 585, Oxford, MA 01540, or to the People for Animals League, 6 Kingsbury Road, Spencer, MA 01562, or to the Second Chance Animal Shelter, 111 Young Road, East Brookfield, MA 01515. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
