December 20, 1966 — January 4, 2017

NORTH OXFORD – Shannon Noelle (Sinders) Sullivan, 50, of Chestnut Hill Road, died Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus, after a courageous fight with ovarian cancer for several years, which she valiantly fought with dignity and strength. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Thomas W. Sullivan of North Oxford; two children, Erin Rose Sullivan and William Marcus Sullivan, both of North Oxford; her mother, Sherri Lyn Sinders of McPherson, KS; her grandmother, Beverly Rose Oberly of McPherson, KS; two sisters, Stacey L. Peloso of Hamden, CT, and Melody N. McFarren and her husband Donald of Chittenden, VT; her best friend, Brodie Sullivan; many nephews, nieces, and a large extended family. She was predeceased by her father, Marcus Earl Sinders; and her brother-in-law, Christopher Peloso. She was born in Lima, OH, and lived in North Oxford for the past 25 years. She graduated from Trumbull High School in Trumbull, CT, in 1985, and attended the University of Connecticut.

Mrs. Sullivan worked in the restaurant industry for many years. Most recently, she worked at Isador’s Deli in Oxford. She will be remembered most as a dedicated wife and mother. She coached Oxford Youth Soccer, baseball, softball, was a Girl Scout leader, volunteered extensively at her children’s schools, and never missed one of her children’s activities. She was a legendary culinary artist and prepared the best meals around the holidays. She was dedicated to the success and happiness of her children and will be greatly missed by all.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Memorial Hospital South 5 for their exceptional care during her numerous visits, as well as Dr. Behmer and Dr. Hughes for their care and comfort.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, January 6, 2017, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will be private at a later date at St. Roch’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, January 5, 2017, from 5-7 p.m., and again on Friday from 11 a.m. – 12 noon prior to the service, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McAuley Nazareth Home for Boys, 77 Mulberry St., Leicester, MA 01524, or to a charity of one’s choice.
