OXFORD- Scott Douglas Pineo, 31, died suddenly on Friday, July 7, 2023, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester, from a recent heart condition. He is survived by his mom and dad, Catherine M. (Bernard) Capozzo and her husband Steven of Oxford, his brother, Joshua A. Young and his girlfriend Elizabeth, and their son Dominic Lucien Young of Oxford; his sister, Jennifer A. Young and her fiancé Brandon of Spencer; his maternal grandmother, Marlene Bernard of Northbridge; his paternal grandparents, Frank and Donna Capozzo of Auburn. He also leaves the ones that stole his heart, Parris and her children Gabriella and Christopher; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is also survived by his biological father Keith Pineo of Webster. He was born in Milford and lived in Northbridge before moving to Oxford in 2003.
Scott had a magnetic personality and will be remembered for his heart of gold, never ending funny faces, crazy haircuts, noisemaking and incredible sense of humor. He was unique and had a charm like no other. He loved his dogs Sophie, Spook, and Fellie. Scott was an avid fisherman, enjoyed playing video games, and was a fan of the New England sports teams, and most of all loved spending time with his nephew Dominic.
A funeral will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 11 am at St. Roch’s Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Calling hours are Friday, July 21, 2023, from 5-8 at the funeral home. Celebration of life will be held after the funeral at Spencer Country Inn.
