OXFORD - Scott D. Barrie, 50, of Old Worcester Rd., passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2010, at his vacation home in Chester, Vermont. He is survived by his son, Tyler S. Barrie of Oxford; his life companion and love, Terry Stewart of Oxford; his mother, Barbara J. (Holyoke) Barrie of Oxford; three sisters, Susan G. Rys and her husband David of Woodstock, CT, Sheryl A. Parker of Oxford, and Sally L. Belanger-Metzger and her husband Ronald of Sutton; an uncle, Wayne Hall and his wife Susan of Worcester; two aunts, M. Patricia Barrie of West Boylston and Anna Barrie of South Carolina; and many nephews and nieces. He was born in Holden, the son of the late David I. Barrie, and lived most of his life in Oxford. He graduated from Bay Path High School in Charlton in 1978. Mr. Barrie was a delivery driver at U.P.S. in Shrewsbury for 15 years. Previously, he co-owned Big Daddy Tours and Little Daddy Limousine, which he operated with his family. He was a member of the Auburn Elks and attended Faith Baptist Church in Auburn. He loved to ride his Harley and spend time in Vermont. He was a football coach and a wonderful and dedicated father to his son, Tyler. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at Faith Baptist Church, 22 Faith Ave., Auburn. Burial will follow at North Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours are Monday, December 27, 2010, from 5-8 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tyler S. Barrie Education Fund, c/o Webster Five Cent Savings Bank, 343 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540.
