NORTH OXFORD – Sarah B. (Fontaine) Mills, 65, of Thayer Pond Drive, died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 31, 2019, in her home. She is survived by her son, Edward F. Harnois of Barre; her brother, Brad Fontaine of Webster; two sisters, Ruth Makowski of Leicester and Marylou Ferrante of Millbury; six grandchildren, Courtney Fullen of Florida, Lexie Fullen of Worcester, Patrick Fullen of Worcester, Jeffrey Harnois of Barre, Anthony Harnois of Barre, and Selina Harnois of Barre; a great-grandson, Jadin Harnois of Barre; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Fontaine; and a sister, Joan Dillon. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Robert J. Fontaine and Rita E. (Mills) Mason, and lived in North Oxford for over 20 years.
Ms. Mills was a licensed practical nurse at the Greenery in Worcester for many years. She enjoyed her time volunteering at the Oxford Public Library. She was a member of the Union Ukulele Club in Worcester and played at open mic night at the Folk n’ A in Worcester. She was an avid animal lover and will be remembered as a wonderful free-spirited person who was one-of-a-kind.
A celebration of life will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the M.S.P.C.A., 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
