Sandra Szynal

CHARLTON - Sandra R. (Scioscia) Szynal, 69, died Saturday, July 4, 2015, at the Meadows of Leicester. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, John S. Szynal of Charlton; her son, Scott D. Bilodeau and his wife Samantha of Florida; a step-daughter, Barbara J. Towle of Worcester; a sister, Anne M. Kozlowski of Webster; and three grandchildren, Amanda Towle, Jonathan Towle, and Emma Mary Lavallee. She was predeceased by her aunt, Marion Houle. She was born in Oxford, the daughter of the late Charles J. and Marjorie E. (Stooke) Scioscia, Sr., and lived in Webster and Oxford before moving to Charlton in 1977. She graduated from Oxford High School in Oxford and Central New England College in Worcester. Mrs. Szynal worked for Maines Paper and Food Service for 20 years, retiring in 2011. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Millbury. She was a member of the Kayak Club in North Brookfield, and enjoyed kayaking, boating, swimming, skiing, and loved to spend time with her wonderful group of friends. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch's Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Wednesday, July 8, 2015, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
