Sandra Ryan

CHARLTON – Sandra J. (Connolly) Ryan, 73, died Friday, October 21, 2016, in her home surrounded by her family. She is survived by her daughter, Shannon J. Barter and her husband Patrick of Charlton; two grandsons, Ryan C. Cove and Sean P. Cove, both of Charlton; and many friends. She was born in Somerville, daughter of the late Henry “Bub” and Veronica “Ronnie” (Finnell) Connolly, and lived in Somerville before moving to Charlton in 2005. She graduated from Somerville High School in 1960.

Mrs. Ryan worked at Home Depot in Somerville then Auburn for 21 years, retiring in July. Previously, she worked at Schrafft’s Candy Company in Charlestown for 8 years and was a preschool teacher at the Elizabeth Peabody House in Somerville for 26 years. She loved to be around her many friends, and could always be found enjoying the sun on her deck.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Monday, October 24, 2016, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
