OXFORD – Ryan Marsan, 25, formerly of Oxford, was currently residing in Washington, DC, died suddenly from complications of hydrocephalus at Medstar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. He is survived by his mother, Christine Marsan of Oxford; his father, Kenneth Graslie of Leicester; his maternal grandparents, Richard and Nancy Marsan of Oxford; his paternal grandmother, Dianna Provencher of Leicester; his aunt and uncle Michelle and Keith Faneuff of Sterling, and Dawna Konkel of Charlton. He was born in Worcester and lived most of his life in Oxford before moving to Washington, DC, six years ago. He graduated from Cushing Academy in Ashburnham in 2016, and received his Master’s degree in Political Science from American University in Washington, DC, in 2021
Ryan was a Political Manager for NARAL in Washington, DC, where he worked for the last 2 years. He has dedicated his life to helping others and fighting for those whose voices aren’t always heard. He was an avid supporter of LGBTQ+ and women’s rights.
Ryan enjoyed traveling throughout the world, loved reading, music, attending concerts, and spending time with his beloved cat, Ruth. He will be remembered as a selfless person who was always there to help anyone in need. Ryan was loved by his many friends and his family and will be missed by all.
Calling hours are Friday, November 4, 2022, from 4-7 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A graveside service with remembrances by friends and family will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at North Cemetery in Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hydrocephalus Association, 4340 East West Highway, Suite 905, Bethesda, MD 20814-4447.
