Ruth Labonte

OXFORD - Ruth G. (Beaupre) Coleman LaBonte, 85, of Locust St., died on Saturday, December 31, 2011, at her home in Estero, FL. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Louis LaBonte; sons, Stephen M. Coleman Sr. and his wife Bonnie of Spencer, Michael J. Coleman and his wife Renee of Oxford, Michael LaBonte of Laurel, Maryland, and James LaBonte of Warwick, RI.; daughter, Debra Howlette of Southbridge; a brother, George Beaupre; a sister, Mary Howe; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She predeceased by her first husband, John F. Coleman Sr. of Oxford; a son, John F. Coleman Jr.; a granddaughter, Kerri Coleman; a brother, Butch Beaupre; and two sisters, Rose Clark and Martha Gedman. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late George and Gladys (Lucia) Beaupre, and lived in her life between Oxford, Estero, FL, and Old Orchard Beach, ME. She graduated from Girls Trade High School in Worcester. Ruth was a cashier at Park and Shop in Webster for many years, retiring in 1996. She loved traveling, enjoyed playing cards, and recently enjoyed using Facebook to keep in touch with her family. She loved her family and they meant everything to her. She never missed a birthday or anniversary and called her family often. She was a giving person and a loving and supportive mother raising three young sons after her first husband passed away. A funeral will be held on Friday, January 6, 2012, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will be at a later date at St. John's Cemetery in Worcester. Calling hours are Thursday, January 5, 2012, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
