DUDLEY - Russell G. Ford, Jr., 50, died Sunday, December 25, 2011, after being stricken ill at home. He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Michelle M. (Mahan) Ford of Dudley; two children, Zachary M. Ford and Stefani M. Ford, both of Dudley; his daughter-in-law Amanda Sarsfield of Dudley; his grandson and pride and joy, Chase Z. Ford of Dudley; his mother, Beverly (Laganelli) Ford of Oxford; his brother and best friend, James Ford of Dudley; his brother Michael Ford of Oxford; his sister, Shirley Ford and her partner, Daniel Quill Jr. of Webster and his sister, Elaine Ford Coulter of Vineland, NJ; and many nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Russell G. Ford Sr., and lived in Oxford before moving to Dudley 27 years ago. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1979, Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester, and received a Bachelor's degree from Worcester State College. Mr. Ford previously owned and operated R&Z Rubbish Removal in Dudley for many years. In addition, he was a supervisor at U.P.S. in Shrewsbury and was a self-employed tax accountant. He enjoyed weekend yard sales, his monthly poker games, and spending time with his family, his dog Gizmo, most of all, he loved playing with his grandson, Chase. A private graveside service will be held at North Cemetery, Oxford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chase Z. Ford Scholarship Fund, c/o Webster First Federal Credit Union, 16 Airport Rd., Dudley, MA 01571. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is assisting with arrangements.
