OXFORD – Russell W. Davis, 59, of Old Howarth Road, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus, Worcester, after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Gail M. (Hagenbuch) Davis of Oxford; two brothers, Robert W. Davis and his wife Marsha of Oxford and Raymond H. Davis and his wife Jane of Oxford; a sister, Marilyn J. Mason and her husband Al of Webster; a brother-in-law, Gary L. Hagenbuch of Auburn; his mother-in-law, Leona P. Hagenbuch; an aunt, Mary Gage Brown of Oxford; eleven nephews and nieces, Taylor Davis and his wife Jessica of Charlton, Travis Davis and his wife Cynthia of North Brookfield, Tara Kallio and her husband Eric of Dudley, Jonathan Davis and his wife Heather of Oxford, Benjamin Davis and his fiancée Michelle Ferguson of Oxford, Lindsey Faucher and her husband Jeffrey of Charlton, Eric Mason of Webster, Kathryn Young and her husband Thomas of Oxford, Sara Gunasekara and her husband Amrith of West Sacramento, CA, Justin Hagenbuch of Auburn and his fiancée Caroline Ramian; and Alison Hagenbuch of the Peace Corps, Niger; nine great nephews and nieces, Jacob and Ryan Davis, Victoria Davis, Adam Faucher, Nathan Davis, Brayden Davis, Alyssa, T.J., and Brett Young; many cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Charles C. Hagenbuch of Oxford, who died in 2001. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Robert W. and Olive C. (Mitchell) Davis, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1966. Mr. Davis was employed as a technician at Photonis in Sturbridge for 32 years. He was a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church in Oxford. He enjoyed bowling and bowled in Chet's Social League at the Mohegan Bowl-a-Drome in Webster for 40 years. He loved golfing and was a member of his company's league. He truly loved his family and his nephews and nieces meant the world to him. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at the Oxford United Methodist Church, 465 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours are Monday, April 14, 2008, from 5-8 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.
