OXFORD - Rosellen B. (Fortunato) Roy, 69, of Pine Ridge Drive, died Sunday, June 28, 2015, at the Life Care Center of Auburn after a long illness. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Michael A. Roy of Oxford; her son, Christopher M. Roy and his wife Janelle of Rutland; two sisters, Elaine David of Worcester and Mary Ann Lavin of Holden; two grandchildren, Miranda and Olivia Roy, both of Rutland; and many nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Rocco S. and Mary A. (Turco) Fortunato, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1977. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester in 1963. Mrs. Roy was a teacher's aide at the Chaffee School in Oxford for 15 years, retiring several years ago. Previously, she worked for O'Brien and Gibbons Insurance Agency in Worcester. She was a member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford and participated in the Tuesday night knitting club, the Soul Sisters. She enjoyed crafts and most of all, loved spending time with her grandchildren. A funeral will be held on Friday, July 3, 2015, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch's Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Thursday, July 2, 2015, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Roch's Church, 334 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540.
