Rose Saad

June 13, 1925 — June 6, 2011

OXFORD - Rose M. (Cusson) Saad, 85, passed away Monday with her children at her side. She was born on June 13, 1925, the daughter of the late Saul and Rose (Fontaine) Cusson, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. Rose was predeceased by her husband, William G. Saad Sr. of Oxford, who died in 1997. She leaves three sons, William G. Saad Jr., Kenneth Saad, and Alfred Saad; four daughters, Shelley Walsh, Jacqueline Wyllie, Rosanne MacGregor, and Heidi Tatten; two sisters, Evelyn Freeland and Dorothy Madaga; and two brothers, Saul Cusson and Edward Cusson. She was very proud of her 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Rodney Saad who passed away in 2004; two brothers, Laurence Cusson and Bernard Cusson; and two sisters, Alice Ziemski and Gladys LaFreniece. Rose worked at TJ Maxx in Auburn for 33 years, retiring in 2009. She was a member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford. She enjoyed bingo, visits to the casino, and above all, spending time with her family. It was evident that her goal in life was happiness and this trait was contagious to all whom were in her life. A funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2011, at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Please meet directly at church. Burial will be at a later date at St. Roch's Cemetery, Oxford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Boulevard, Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852-3914. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
