WORCESTER – Rose P. (Houde) deVillers, 87, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Northborough. She was predeceased by her husband of 26 years, Ernest Robert deVillers who died in 2001. She is survived by three sons, Craig Macklin and his wife Maureen of Worcester, Kevin Macklin and his wife Donna of Millbury, and Daryl Macklin and his wife Jean of Spring Hill, FL; a daughter, Sharron Bouvier and her husband Edward of Northborough; eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, and many step children and their families. She was predeceased by a daughter Kim Salluce of Northborough, who died in 1980. She was born in Weymouth on March 27, 1920, the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Rose V. (Gordon) Houde, and lived most of her life in Worcester before recently moving to Northborough. She graduated from Classical High School in Worcester in 1939. Mrs. deVillers was a courier at Standard Photo in Springfield for 12 years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. George's Church in Worcester. She was devoted to her family and pets, and enjoyed bowling, gardening, music, and many friends. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2007, at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch's Cemetery, Oxford. A calling hour will be Friday, June 29, 2007, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, prior to the Mass. Expressions of sympathy may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
