OXFORD – Ronald Clay Chambless, 66, of Oxford, MA passed on into the infinite grace, surrounded by love and light on the 13th of January 2024. His legacy will live on in the hearts and souls of those he loved that remain behind. He was a loving and dedicated husband for 42 years to Cynthia I. (Morse) Chambless. A father as well as a beacon of wisdom and understanding to his children, Lynnel Bienkowski, her husband Joseph of Ashland, MA, Brian Chambless of Woodstock, CT, Daniel Chambless who predeceased him, and David Chambless of Oxford, MA. He will be watching over and protecting his 3 siblings Craig Chambless of Hemet, CA, Andrew Chambless, his wife Adele of Cranston, RI and Rochelle McLeod, her husband Scott of Chelmsford, MA. Ronald was also a caring and loving grandfather to each of his 4 grandchildren Ethan, Jacob, and Natalie Bienkowski, and Eva Chambless. An uncle to many nieces and nephews. Son to the late Bertram A. and Annalee R. (Gaddis) Chambless. Born the 17th of October 1957 in Rockford, IL. Ronald became a bit of a rolling stone and spent years in TX, VT, and NJ where he graduated from Bergen County Vocational Tech in Hackensack, NJ before building a home and starting a family in Oxford, MA where he lived to his final days.
Ronald was an avid nature lover who would spend endless hours landscaping and gardening. He enjoyed classic cars, sports, and NASCAR. He loved to travel, camp, take pictures and hike. He loved to share music with those that had an ear for it. Ronald was a loyal and dedicated tradesman who spent almost 3 decades with Lista/Stanley in Holliston, MA. Ronald was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather to his family and someone who always had a smile on his face and a kind word to say. His devotion and integrity were an inspiration, and he will be missed. He passed at home surrounded by his family who will cherish his memory always.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Howard Cemetery in Northborough.
