CHARLTON – Ronald “Red” E. Breault, 74, of Prenier Road, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, in his home. He was predeceased by his bride of 47 years, Emelie A. (Simpson) Breault, who died in 2011. He is survived by two sons, Rick A. Breault and his wife Christine of Charlton, and Steven E. Breault and his wife Carolyn of North Grafton; a brother, Robert Breault of Auburn; four grandchildren, Amber Neal, Christopher Breault, Nicole Breault, and Kevin Breault; and two great grandsons, Timothy Brier and Benjamin Brier. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Ernest O. and Marguerite B. (Richard) Breault, and lived in Ashland before moving to Charlton 10 years ago.
Mr. Breault worked for Bose Corporation in Framingham, retiring in 2006. Previously, he worked at the Ashland News Store in Ashland for over 40 years. He was a member of the Charlton Lions Club and was named “Lion of the Year” for 2008-2009. Mr. Breault was also president of the Charlton Lions from 2014-2015.
Mr. Breault volunteered at Blessings Farm in Charlton, where he was a licensed horseback riding instructor as well as founder and coach of the drill team. He rode as “Paul Revere” for the National Lancers during their annual re-enactment. Horseback riding was his passion and he loved nothing more than sharing his love of horses with others. He will be remembered as a very giving man who always had a positive attitude.
Calling hours are Friday, January 22, 2016, from 4-6 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the conclusion of the calling hours. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Charlton Lions Club, P.O. Box 1072, Charlton City, MA 01508.
