OXFORD – Roland E. Savageau, 92, of Millbury Road, died on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the Life Care Center of Auburn, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Irene A. (Wilkins) Savageau of Oxford; three children, Shirley N. Norcross and her husband Chuck of Wells, ME, Dianne R. Murphy and her husband Rick of Oxford, and Richard N. Savageau of Webster; four grandchildren, Geoffrey Norcross and his wife Nancy, Tracy Leavitt and her husband Jeremy, Katie Murphy and her fiancé Nicholas, and Mark Murphy and his wife Sarah; and four great-grandsons, Cole Norcross, Blake Norcross, Bailey Leavitt, and Mason Leavitt. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Ralph and Alice (Cartier) Savageau, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1970.
Mr. Savageau was a truck driver for Worcester Bedding Company for many years prior to retirement. Previously, he worked for the Patton Company in Worcester. He enjoyed collecting hats, menus, and took pride in caring for his lawn. He loved music and was a D.J. for many events during retirement.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
