Robert H. White

Robert H. White, 88, of High Street, died Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.  He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Mabel R. (Strachen) White who died in 2012.  He is survived by his son, James R. White and his wife Joan of Spencer; two brothers, Kenneth White and his wife Nancy of Charlton, and Ernest White of Oxford; four grandchildren, Amber Cogoli and her wife Erin Cogoli of Texas, Sean Cogoli of Gilbertville0, Jonathan McGrath and his wife Cindi of Rochdale, and Amanda Bellerive and her husband Nicholas of West Brookfield; eight great-grandchildren, Jacob, Ayla, Audrey, David, Kaden, Kiara, Lillian, and Piper; and many nephews and nieces.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Michelle Cogoli; a brother, Bernard White; and a sister, Peggy White.  He was born in Webster, son of the late Ernest and Cecile (LaPlante) White, and lived in Charlton and Oxford before moving to Spencer in 2012.  He graduated from Oxford High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. White worked at Westborough State Hospital for 15 years, retiring in 2000.  He was a member of the Lodge of Masons and enjoyed painting and fishing.

Memorial calling hours are Tuesday, June 27, 2023, from 6-8 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.  Burial will be private at a later date at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice, 199 Rosewood Drive, Suite 180 St., Danvers, MA 01923.
