OXFORD - Robert A. Talcott, 53, of Clarence Dr., died Thursday, February 3, 2011, in his home after a short illness. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Gloria A. (Napieralski) Talcott; two sons, Robert N. Talcott of Oxford, and Bill P. Talcott and his wife Jennifer of Worcester; his parents, William and Joyce (Filbert) Talcott of Lawrenceville, GA; two brothers, William Talcott of South Carolina and Donald Talcott of Georgia; a sister, Patty Perkins of Georgia; two granddaughters, Niya I. Talcott and Kailee A. Talcott, both of Worcester; and many friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Linda Talcott. He was born in Eau Gallie, FL, and lived in Oxford for over 20 years. Mr. Talcott was a self-employed master carpenter, who was known as "Bob the Builder" by many. With his meticulous carpentry skills, he took pride in helping both family and friends. His own neighborhood was especially enhanced by his many talents and can be seen throughout. He was a member of the Board of Directors at Webster Fish and Game, where he recently stepped down due to his illness. A memorial gathering will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oxford Animal Shelter Committee with a check payable to the Town of Oxford, 503 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is assisting the family with arrangements.
