CHARLTON – Robert P. Lowe, 89, of Northside Road, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Janet A. (Kujawski) Lowe. He is survived by three children, Veronica A. Mazurek and her husband Rolf of Saint Cloud, FL, Tina L. Lowe and her fiancé John Padgett of Charlton, and Norman R. Lowe and his wife Judy of Bonham, TX; two granddaughters, Amanda L. Barrett and her husband Christopher of Saint Cloud, FL, and Savannah Padgett of Charlton; three great-grandchildren, Aubrey J. Barrett, Olivia A. Barrett, and Jonathan Sarty Jr.; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Patricia A. Sarty; three brothers, Richard Lowe, Arthur Lowe, and Leonard Lowe; and four sisters, June Langlois, Carrie Bombard, Ruth Martin, and Nancy Lambert. He was born in Oxford, son of the late John and Ida (Furness) Lowe, and lived most of his life in Webster before moving to Charlton in 2016. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Lowe was a truck driver for Tropical Banana in Worcester for many years, retiring in 1995. In addition, he worked at Lelanite in Webster for many years. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed fishing, rose gardening, baseball, and was a Red Sox fan.
Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the A.S.P.C.A., PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
