OXFORD – Rita C. (Bouthillette) Germain, 96, of Wheelock Street, died Sunday, May 15, 2016, in her home. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Albert Germain Sr. who died in 1987. She is survived by two sons, Paul J. Germain Sr. of Worcester and Roger A. Germain of Webster; a daughter, Donna M. Pinto and her husband Richard of Oxford; a sister, Theresa Guerin of Worcester; 11 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a son, Albert Germain Jr. who died in 2002; four brothers, Edward, Louie, Arthur, and Philip Bouthillette; and a sister, Maria Soucy. She was born in North Oxford, daughter of the late Joseph A. and Cora (Robidoux) Bouthillette, and lived all of her life in Webster, Dudley, and Oxford. She attended Oxford Public Schools.

Mrs. Germain worked at Sandelette Company for 10 years. She also worked for Ethan Allen in Dudley for 5 years, retiring in 1974. She was a member of St. Roch’s Church in Oxford. She loved knitting and gave many hats to her friends and the church over the years.

A funeral will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Roch’s Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch’s Cemetery in Oxford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
