NORTH OXFORD - Rita T. (Morin) Gagnon, 92, of Maple Avenue, died Friday, April 1, 2011, at Aurora Manor in Aurora, Ohio. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Ernest J. Gagnon of North Oxford, who died in 1996. She is survived by two children, Roger J. Gagnon of Winston-Salem, NC; and Ann M. Carignan of Streetsboro, OH; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers, David and Harry Morin; and seven sisters, Rose Morin, Anna Mathurin, Albina Garry, Josephine LaMountain, Regina Prunier, Agnes Morin, and Eva McCarthy. She was born in North Oxford, the daughter of the late Louis O. and Roseanna (Prunier) Morin, and was a lifelong resident of North Oxford. Mrs. Gagnon worked at Anglo Fabric in Webster for several years. Previously, she worked at Thayer Woolen Company and MKM Silk Stocking Factory, both in North Oxford. She was a member of St. Ann's Church in North Oxford. A funeral will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch's Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours are Friday, April 8, 2011, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann's Church, P.O. Box 488, North Oxford, MA 01537.
