SPENCER - Richard J. Saad, Jr. 47, of Chestnut Street, died suddenly on Friday, June 7, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Kristen M. (Abraham) Saad of Spencer; five children, Ashley M. Saad and Courtney L. Saad, both of Oxford, Codie T. Abraham, Bradyn J. Saad, and Trevor J. Saad, all of Spencer; his father, Richard J. Saad Sr. of Leicester; a brother, Eric S. Saad of Webster; three sisters, Tiffany M. Saad-Scott of Spencer, Merilyn L. Klawuhn of Scituate, RI, and Cheryl A. Saad of Austin, TX; two grandchildren, Gabriella Lucier and Gavyn Lucier; and several aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces. He was born in Webster, the son of the late Miriam D. (Yeo) Saad, and lived in Spencer for the past five years. He graduated from Leicester High School in 1984. Mr. Saad was a truck driver for Polar Beverages for two years until 2009. Previously, he owned and operated E.R. Bumper Tech and worked at Diamond Chevrolet. He attended Mary Queen of the Rosary Church in Spencer. Mr. Saad was very involved with the Autism Resource Center of Central Massachusetts and organized their golf tournament. He recently graduated from Mass Families Organizing for Change. He enjoyed camping, NASCAR, sports, and Sunday dinners with his family. He had a great love for his wife, and his kids meant the world to him. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. A memorial Mass will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Mary Queen of the Rosary Church, 60 Maple St., Spencer. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Richard Saad Jr. Memorial Fund, c/o Country Bank, 20 Soojan Dr., Leicester, MA 01524, or brought into any bank office.
