CHARLTON -Richard S. Mosher, 84, of Charlton, died Monday, June 20, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara (Swan) Mosher; three sons, Richard S. Mosher and his wife Elizabeth of Douglas, Gary E. Mosher and his wife Rheta of McAllen, Texas, and Andrew J. Mosher and his wife Kimberly of Sutton; a sister, Doris Swenson of Ridgewood, NJ; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Mr. Mosher was born in Syracuse, NY, son of the late George and Helen (Jarrett) Mosher and was predeceased by a daughter Elizabeth Mosher who died in 1970 and a brother G. Edwin Mosher. Richard served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He was a self employed accountant and businessman. Mr. Mosher was the owner and operator of the Blue Jay Lobster Pond in Sutton and also owned a recreational vehicle business in both Massachusetts and Texas. Mr. Mosher was a member of the First Congregational Church of Sutton, a member of the Rose Of Sharon Lodge of Masons where he was a Past Master and the Suttons Lion Club. Richard was also an avid coin collector. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Congregational Church of Sutton, 307 Boston Road, Sutton, with burial to follow at West Sutton Cemetery, Sutton.
