UXBRIDGE – Richard “Ricky” J. Bernard, 61, of Holbrook Lane, died peacefully on Thursday, March 14, 2024, in his home after a long illness.  He is survived by his mother, Claire M. (Jacques) Bernard of Uxbridge; three siblings, Carol A. Chabot and her husband David of Uxbridge, Dennis A. Bernard of North Grosvenordale, CT, and Joanne M. Dion and her husband Michael of Whitinsville; six nieces and nephews, Christine Chabot, Brad Chabot and his wife Melanie, Angela Bernard, Dennis Bernard Jr. and his wife Amanda, Cole Bernard, and Morgan Dion; a great-nephew, Kaleb Chabot; two great-nieces, Mackenzie Bernard and Kadence Chabot; many cousins, one aunt, and one uncle.  He was born in Northbridge, son of the late Joseph L. Bernard, and was a lifelong resident of Uxbridge.  He graduated from Uxbridge High School in 1982.

Mr. Bernard was an electronics technician at Electronic Designs in Hopkinton for many years.  He was a former member of Good Shepherd Church in North Uxbridge.  He enjoyed bowling and playing golf when he was younger, and loved watching movies, listening to music, puzzles, and playing cards.

Memorial calling hours are Sunday, March 24, 2024, from 1-3 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.  A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the conclusion of calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
