OXFORD - Raymond C. Maurice, 87, of Main Street, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris M. (Tangney) Maurice of Oxford who died in 1998; and his son, Dana Wilson. He is survived by his daughter, Dawn P. Durling and her husband Curt of Charlton; his granddaughter, Kelly Wilson of Rhode Island; and his nephew, John McDermott of Worcester. He was born in Auburn, the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Amiot) Maurice, and lived most of his life in Oxford. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Maurice was a rural carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Auburn for 38 years. He was a member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford. He was a little league manager for his son, and was a dedicated father who was involved in his children's activities. In his spare time, he enjoyed landscaping flower gardening. A funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Military burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Auburn. Calling hours are Tuesday, June 4, 2013, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
