DUDLEY - Raymond A. Lindberg, 67, of Joshua Place, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at the V.A. Hospital in West Roxbury, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Luana L. (Langway) Lindberg of Dudley; five children, Terry R. Lindberg of Webster, Kim M. Rankovic of Webster, Dale W. Lindberg of Douglas, Lee A. Lindberg of Webster, and Eric R. Lindberg of Webster; a brother, Russell A. Lindberg of Oxford; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late George and Mildred (Christenson) Lindberg, and lived most of his life in Oxford before moving to Dudley three years ago. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served as a pilot aboard the U.S.S. Forrestal. Mr. Lindberg was a machine operator at Montrose/CDT in Auburn for 21 years, retiring in 2003. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 5663 in Oxford and was a member of Singletary Rod and Gun Club. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2009, at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A military burial will be at a later date at North Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours are Thursday, March 5, 2009, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Oxford Memorial Honor Guard, participating.
