OXFORD / ORLANDO, FL – Ralph H. Christenson, 64, died Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at Orlando Medical Center, after a short illness. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda (Fenning) Christenson of Orlando; three children, Roland Christenson and his wife Kim, Scott Christenson and his wife Cathie, and Shawn Christenson and his wife Kristina; all of Orlando; three grandchildren, Mitchell, Joshua, and Kyle; seven brothers, Richard Christenson of Pennsylvania, Alan Christenson of Melbourne, FL, Leonard Christenson of Webster, Gordon Christenson of Oxford, Kurt Christenson of Webster, Chris Christenson of Oxford, and Glenn Christenson of Oxford; three sisters, Fay Mier of Osterville, Gayle Christenson of Oxford, and Doreen Carlsen of Oxford; his uncle Herbie Christenson of Worcester; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Roland Christenson of Oxford, who died in 1967. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Richard and Dora (Carlson) Christenson, and lived in many communities, including Oxford, Webster, and Charlton, before moving to Orlando, FL, in August. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School in Worcester. Mr. Christenson was a self employed master carpenter for over 20 years. Previously, he owned Chris-Rol Construction Company in Oxford with his brothers and father. He was known for his skill as a carpenter and loved fishing. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2007, at the Oxford United Methodist Church, 465 Main St., Oxford. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Boston MA-NH Office, 330 Congress Street, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is directing local arrangements.
