OXFORD – Phyllis T. (Chaput) Carter, 81, of Henry Marsh Road, died Friday, May 27, 2022, at the Blackstone Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center in Northbridge. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Edward L. Carter of Oxford; four daughters, Michelle T. Goodwin and her husband Phillip of Oxford, Danielle M. Audette and her husband Robert of Oxford, Claudine A. Thibodeau and her fiancé Michael McKeown of Worcester, and Rochelle A. Thibodeau Hebert and her husband John of Worcester; three stepsons and one stepdaughter, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. She was preceded by a son, Peter R. Thibodeau who died in 2013; and three brothers, Louis Chaput, Ernest W. Chaput, and Alfred R. Chaput Sr. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Alfred and Laura (Lambert) Chaput, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 2009. She graduated from the David Hale Fanning School of Nursing in Worcester in 1975.
Mrs. Carter worked as a licensed practical nurse throughout her life.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022, at the First Congregational Church, 355 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
